Properties of the City of Chemnitz
The City of Chemnitz regularly publishes properties that are offered for sale or lease and, if requested, also for the creation of a heritable building right.
Voluntary visiting service for senior citizens
Many very elderly people live in Chemnitz. Not all of them are in the fortunate position of being looked after by children and grandchildren. The Chemnitz Community Foundation, together with the City of Chemnitz Social Services Department, is looking for volunteers to visit senior citizens in their neighbourhoods.
Maintenance contracts for green spaces
In future, the City of Chemnitz will support the voluntary commitment of its citizens to the city's green spaces. This voluntary and unpaid work is to be secured through maintenance contracts. The city administration will also ensure compliance with accident prevention regulations.
